DR. BACON

Dr. Bacon is a high-energy, genre-bending band originally formed on the streets of Boone, North Carolina in 2012, before relocating their base to Asheville, NC. Known for their unique "Appalachian Funk-Rock" sound, they blend funk, soul, rock, bluegrass, jazz, and hip-hop into a highly danceable live experience.

The Dr. Bacon live experience is well-known in the southeastern festival and touring circuits. Their sets shift dynamically, spanning lush, laid-back melodies and high-intensity, tribal dance parties. Constantly rotating their original-focused setlists and choice covers, no two Dr. Bacon shows are ever exactly alike.

Over the years, the band has built a massive grassroots following, touring extensively and playing major festivals. Their first full-length album, Fast & Loose with the Essentials, was recorded in North Carolina and released in 2019 at the Smokedown Festival.
