MASON VIA

Born in 1998, Mason Via is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist rooted in the musical traditions of Appalachia. Growing up in North Carolina and Virginia, he was mentored by his father, acclaimed songwriter David Via, and gained early national exposure as a contestant on season 19 of American Idol. He is perhaps best known for his three-year tenure (2021–2024) as a member of the legendary band Old Crow Medicine Show, during which he contributed to the Grammy-nominated album Jubilee.

As a solo artist and prolific songwriter, Via has established himself as a prominent voice in the modern bluegrass and Americana scenes. His songwriting credits include tracks recorded by icons like the Del McCoury Band and Molly Tuttle. In 2025, he released a self-titled solo album through Mountain Fever Records, which featured collaborations with bluegrass royalty such as Rhonda Vincent. Today, he continues to tour extensively,
