DAY 1

Memphis: meet your band

Morning

Meet your road managers in Memphis, receive your road pass and settle into the coach. Introductions give everyone a chance to share a favorite song and discover the musical tastes of their traveling band. Review the route, daily meeting points and the group’s goals before setting off.

Afternoon

Visit Sun Studio and explore the story of a small recording room with an extraordinary influence on American music. Continue to the Stax Museum to connect rock ’n’ roll with Memphis soul and the people who created its sound. Leave time for a regional meal and a relaxed museum pace.

Evening

Gather for dinner and explore live music on Beale Street with your road managers. Compare the sounds heard during the day and celebrate the start of the journey. Overnight in Memphis.

Band together

Create a band name and agree on a few shared values for the road.

DAY 2

From Graceland to Tupelo

Morning

Explore Graceland, connecting the public performer with the personal story behind the music. Your guide introduces the day’s theme: how place, family and opportunity shape a creative career.

Afternoon

Travel to Tupelo and visit Elvis Presley’s childhood home. Pause for lunch and time to explore the birthplace setting. On the coach, share the contrast between the modest childhood surroundings and the international career explored that morning.

Evening

Enjoy dinner and a hosted musical gathering selected for the group. A relaxed conversation gives quieter teammates space to contribute. Overnight in the Tupelo area.

Band together

Pair up to tell a short story about an early influence, then introduce your partner’s story to the group.

DAY 3

The Delta: follow the blues

Morning

Travel into the Mississippi Delta, using the coach journey for music-history films, listening and conversation. Road managers introduce the Blues Trail and explain how the region’s stories connect with the Memphis recordings.

Afternoon

Visit selected Mississippi Blues Trail markers and the Stovall area associated with Muddy Waters. Continue to Clarksdale with time for a meal and a guided introduction to the town’s blues heritage. The final marker selection follows the group’s departure schedule and access arrangements.

Evening

Experience a blues evening at Ground Zero Blues Club or a scheduled local alternative. The source itinerary’s Shack Up Inn provides the inspiration for a character-filled Delta stay, subject to group availability. Overnight in the Clarksdale area.

Band together

Build a shared playlist that traces the musical connections discovered so far.

DAY 4

Indianola and Jackson: take the music home

Morning

Continue to Indianola for the B.B. King Museum, exploring the life, music and cultural setting of an artist whose work carried the blues to audiences around the world. Take time for individual reflection before regrouping.

Afternoon

Travel toward Jackson with selected Blues Trail stops and a final regional meal. Bring together the stories of Memphis, Tupelo and the Delta in a guided closing conversation. Finish at the agreed Jackson meeting point; onward transfers are arranged separately from this sample route.

Evening

Depart with your road pass, group memories and shared playlist. Teams extending their stay can request an additional local music evening when planning their trip.

Band together

Each teammate names one contribution they appreciated and one habit they want the team to carry back to work.
